The predictive role of combined adenosine deaminase activity in Serum and body fluids to diagnose extrapulmonary tuberculosis

EPTB comprises 10-15% of all TB cases in developing countries. Diagnosis from body fluids like pleural, peritoneal and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) is challenging as these samples possess very few bacilli. : To determine the role adenosine deaminase (ADA) assay for reliable prediction different fluids, particularly low-resource areas with high disease prevalence. This prospective study was out a rural medical college hospital. An enzymatic deamination method kinetic manner used to monitor ADA activity. The processed 100 serum 50 Suspected patients control group samples. Data were recorded MS Excel sheets, statistical analysis performed using Office software. Out suspected patient groups, 48 (96%) 17 (34%) positive ADA, respectively. obtained both group, 16 (32%) 3 (06%) respectively.Serum positivity significantly compared In our study,observations suggest that serosal Adenosine measurement has good potential EPTB.
